I don’t know why but the collection calls started to get of hand again. They got very light but now all of a sudden, we are getting 100’s of calls a day again. It is insane! Another problem I am seeing is Honda. I am getting letters now demanding payment for the car that was repossessed. The last letter they sent me offered to accept a settlement of 75%. I have a feeling they are going to be a problem and I feel they may be the ones to file the first lawsuit on me.

So we sat down and did our budget and figured we would have the $100 to pay off the lawyer if we really stayed tight on our budget as we have been. I am happy to say-we did and we have an appointment to see him Monday morning. I had to take off of work because they say we will be there at least 2 hours. I am not wasting the day though-I have an appointment at my daughters school too. Something I can never get to because I work during the week.

We had to redo the hardest part of our Bankruptcy paperwork which is our last 6 months income broken down. I did this months ago but since we were unable to get into the lawyer-things have changed and income definitely has changed in 6 months. That part is a headache.

Speaking of income, my husband has been getting the run around by the company he does 99% of his subcontracting work for. The woman he usually deals with kept telling him work was on the way instead of just being honest and telling him there was no work. Finally, Wednesday he was asked if he had anything else lined up because they have no work! I think this is it. If they do decide to send him any, I am pretty sure he will refuse it and tell them to “stick it where the sun don’t shine!”. It’s not right to string someone along like that but it’s business I guess. He just said that with their payroll changes and BS, 2009 he just wants to be done with them.

Honestly, since he has not been working-we have actually SAVED money. He used our personal car to work on the field and that killed us on gas and wear and tear on the car. We have one car now and if he runs that one to the ground-we will be in trouble.

He has been sending out resumes and calling on jobs that have overnight hours for now since we only have the one car-nobody is calling back. He even tried a valet job-people were lined up for it! Incredible. Luckily for us, a friend of the family needed help selling things on Ebay-some big ticket items. He asked my husband to help and he would get a percentage of what he sells. So he has been doing that while home, completing surveys and writing eHow articles. I am really impressed-he is writing like a pro…lol. I must admit though-the surveys are really slowing down. I am not sure why. Either so many people are doing them because they need the money or these companies are cutting back on them-who knows.

Another thing he is going to help me out with is my niche sites. I have really been neglecting them and they could really save us financially if we promote them and get traffic to them. Instead of going outdoors this weekend, I am going to buckle down and work on those sites.

The one thing I can say, is we are getting the ball rolling on filing bankruptcy. That will be one huge weight off of our shoulders. Then we can really start working on other things like getting another car so my husband can look for work during the day.

  1. Lara says:

Was there a budget format that you used when you went to the BK attorney?
