This past week was a biggie for me. We had our annual audit/inspection at work. You don’t know how much I dread this every year. 3 days of being with an inspector and let’s just say-if I failed, well the company risks losing their licenses and faces huge fines. No pressure huh? I was a nervous wreck and wont know if we passed until we get his report. I think it went well though. For all that I put into it, I did not even get a thank-you. I know, I know, I should be grateful to even get a paycheck in this economy. I know this. It just makes me mad. Maybe I should have called out sick and let my boss see just how much work I do…hahaha. That though is just reality. People like me give 110% but all it does is make the rich people we work for richer and we just stay-well…not rich. It is a stepping stone and one I wont be at much longer I hope. Working for someone else is not the way…at least for me anyway. You never hear someone who works for themselves say that they are overworked and underpaid. I will try my hardest to break out of this so when I do bust my tail-it will be for MY future and my family’s future-not for a company that does not appreciate it.
On the working at home stuff… I joined The Niche Blogger last month and I am afraid to say I am behind everyone over there. I have had no time to do anything because of my work. I surely don’t want to put it off because the purpose of joining there was to help myself be able to work at home and not work for someone else. I got one Niche blog up with very little on it. Today is my goal to get it going and work on blog #2. I dedicated 2 hours a night to doing my paid surveys this week and made about $90. I also decided to give online article writing a try and got paid for 2. I was so happy! OK, it was only like $9 but still, I got paid doing something I LOVE! So just imagine if I could step it up and write better and more articles, I could make even more! I am no professional writer, that is for sure so it does take me a little longer to write but I am getting the hang of it.
In March, I got a side job for my husband. They liked his work so much they emailed another job yesterday. I helped him on it and we got it knocked out in no time. I feel we are gonna have that money to pay the lawyer off this month. Oh that will be so nice!

Hey! Awesome! $90 for surveys? for just two hours? that’s $45 an hour! and $9 for writing articles? Sounds like you could turn this into alot more! That would be wonderful!! And good news on the side job for your DH.. sounds like things are looking up this week! I did want to tell you I’m going to be in FL in Nov.. how far are you from Orlando? Thought maybe I could take you and your DH to dinner? LOL that sounds like a date….anyway might be cool to meet up in RL..
That is so cool! We live about 3 1/2 hours away from Orlando. I love it there-in fact I was just about to post about it. I am going there this weekend.
That is so neat that you will be so close to us.
$90 in 2 hours…yeah I wish! lol I did about 2 hours a night for the week and made $90. Not bad for surveys. I would love to be able to make a full time income doing this stuff and I believe it is possible but I am so not there yet. I will be soon…at least I hope.
Really these things are hit and miss. Tonight I only made about $6 on surveys but I guess that is better than nothing. The article writing is what I really like. I hope to get better at it.
The side job was cool. They didn’t send him nearly as much as they did the last time but I am hoping they send even more after they see the work from the weekend. That would be awesome.
