We are done moving-time to catch up.

Yay, we are 100% moved out of the old place! I tell ya, this move was the most grueling EVER and we’ve moved a lot. First of all, it was record heat here in South Florida and top that off with stairs, stairs and more stairs! I knew they were going to be a challenge–but dang! They kicked our tails! We ended up moving little by little over the weekend. We just couldn’t do it all in one day. My poor husband was like a walking zombie working all night and coming home to move. Me, I was reminded just how out of shape I was during all of this.

So I am bruised up and sore but it is done-yippee! I just had to get online and check the ‘ol email and update here. It has been days since I even sat down at the computer. I hate to do it but I know once I go online, I get involved in stuff and I get behind. I was really nervous we weren’t going to get moved out in time and get charged a big fee-but we did-thank goodness!

The only bad part about the move was that we incurred another expense that I did not plan on. We ended up getting a storage because we literally ran out of room in the apartment! It is $45 per month that I did not want to spend but what are ya gonna do? We have donated things, sold most of our furniture and collectibles, threw bags of stuff away and we still have all this stuff…how? So I got the rate locked in for the storage for only 6 months and then it doubles. By then, we either need to do more cleaning up or negotiate a deal to keep it at that rate. I will not pay $90 a month to store stuff! Of course I sure as heck don’t want to move all that stuff either!

So do we like the apartment? You bet! OK, it is a little small but it just awesome! They just updated it making it almost brand new inside and we are all happy. I could definitely see us staying for the full 2 years as planned until school is out. OK, so the stairs will definitely be something we will need to get use to but we need the exercise anyway! I guess this is kind of forcing us to exercise now! lol

This sure as heck did not feel like a vacation week-that’s for sure. I was suppose to get back to work tomorrow but emailed the boss and told her I will be back in on Monday. I will miss one paid day but will make it up with a few projects I am gonna finish up today from home. Besides, my husband is out now doing a few RUSH orders he got for his own side work. Tomorrow is family day and over the weekend it will be just the girls and we will spend time together then.

I am off to clean out the email box and get caught up on some work. I can’t just lay around the house-do I think I am on vacation or something?
