Well guys-it is over! I no longer need to stalk my P.O. Box waiting for a piece of paper to let us know we are done-over-finished with this chapter in our lives! Our bankruptcy has been discharged! All the debt is gone with the exception of our car. I don’t think either of us have been out of debt since we we were in our teens! All this waiting and anticipation and BAM, it is over like that.
We went on for so many years trying to play catch up and get a hold of this debt and we lost so much time. I read articles and blogs everyday of people who are busting their tails paying off their debt and I commend them. It is so hard! We tried too. We thought we had a handle on it for a while until these past few years when all hell broke loose. Hardship after hardship…it seemed never ending.
Let’s see, where to begin? Or should I even go there? Maybe one day. But for now, I am so darn happy and relieved. Things can only get better from here. It’s been a long ride and I am just so excited that it is over.
We’ve already begun a new chapter in our lives. Things are not perfect but they are so much better. We are saving and we are happier people without that huge monkey we call debt hanging on our backs!
I will update more-got lots going on but I gotta get packing. I just had to get on here and post the good news!

Wow, Wow, Wow! Awesome news, that is so exciting and to know it’s finally done, out of the way and you can really move on now. I’m so happy for you and your family, and excited that your hubby is working and your starting to save money, etc. Really a new beginning. Awesome news!

Thank you so much! What an awesome feeling to have. It really is. People don’t realize how debt hovers over them and effects every part of their lives until they no longer have it. Once it is gone-oh what a relief!
Whether it is bankruptcy, debt settlement, getting debt 100% paid off-you need debt out of your life! I know I will NEVER have debt again. I am already trying to figure out how to pay the car off sooner so I don’t even owe that anymore!
