OK here it goes. Now remember this is only mine. My husband also has about 45k in debt but is not doing debt settlement so he is not included in this. 90K in credit card debt. UGLYYYY!

Our 2 cars total: $37,684 (both in my name so they are counting as my debt for now)

Revolving Debt : $45.878

Chase: 13,500

Target Visa: 9,500

Discover : 9000

Citibank:  6700

Capital One: 2700

City Furniture: 2200

Capital One: 2000

Mohawk (GE): 750

BP Gas Card: 200

How am I gonna pay these off? I have no clue! No actually I am gonna start with BP 1st and then Mohawk. I called all my creditors to work something out and nobody would but Target. They cut my rate and put me on hardship status for 6 months. I was glad because I have had that card forever. They could have done better but it gives me a little breathing room. The rest, well their minimums will go in a fund and evenutally we will see what happens once the calls start.

My cars? I really need them. We live in the “suburbs” and I work in the city. I wouldn’t mind taking the bus but I have already tried to map out the route and I would need to transfer to 2 buses and do a lot of walking. It will take forever. I could always commute with hubby I guess. Although my work is on the opposite side of the county. They do cost $900 in car payments alone each month. I gotta figure something out.

After taxes and insurance, I take home maybe 40K a year-maybe a little more. Depending on my overtime. My husband just started in a field that he loves a few months ago. He is finally his own boss and it helps to have a flexible schedule with children but the pay is not steady at all. He has plenty of work but he gets paid sporadically and it scares us. He loves it but it is hurting us not having a steady “paycheck”. He may have to go back to a “normal” job. We are looking into our options.
