I have decided I need to update here a little more and keep up with my financial blog reading every single day. There are many blogs I read that I have been visiting since even before I started this one. It is always interesting to see how people are coping with their debt problems and how far they have come.
Sad to say I read a lot of personal blogs where people are falling right back into debt. You can tell because they will stop posting and then come back after a few weeks or months and write about how they “fell off the wagon” and post about how much money they wasted. It happens and it sucks. I know that debt is a disease and like any other-it can creep back on ya.
I just don’t want it to happen to me and that is why I will be on here reminding myself of where I was and where I am now and how I never want to go back!
So last week, I had a birthday. I turned the big 33. I started this blog when I was 31 and had all my debt way before then. It just goes to show how fast time flies. I didn’t get to enjoy my 20′s due to the debt load we were carrying. We missed out on a lot. With debt came weight problems for both me and my husband. I swear those 2 go hand-in-hand.
Anyway, maybe I am just being emotional about getting older but I must say, I am not gonna let my 30′s fly by like my 20′s-that’s for sure! Now that the debt is gone (all except for the car payment), I am working on our weight. Even though I continue to have stress in my life-the most stressful part is over-there are no excuses.

Well Happy Birthday belated!! lol
You are well on your way to a “different and more peaceful” life!!!
So enjoy the ride!!!
I think continuing to blog and read other blogs has kept me on the straight and narrow more than anything else.
Happy (belated) birthday
Thanks for the birthday wishes! Lois- I wonder if there is ever such thing as a peaceful life…lol
Thanks Laura- that is why I continue to blog and read others. Wanna hear something funny? I was thinking of doing another site about saving and spending but the domain name I was considering was already taken-now I know by who…it’s yours!:)
I figured I would just load all the stuff on here. Debt and spending go hand-in-hand and saving while spending helps keep people stay out of debt. So maybe it will help someone here.
Thanks for stopping by!
