Work has been really slow for my husband lately-really slow. He finally had a talk with the owner of the main company he subcontracts for and asked him straight out how the workload was. He was told work should pick up but there are no guarantees. He was offered a little more money for the little work he does get-but it is not enough. They also offered him more work in the other part of the state about 6 hours away but with no incentive for going (hotels, travel-none of that). It would cost him money to go. DUHH?
So with 1 car between the both of us-me needing it to go to work and the kids needing a ride to school-it ain’t happening. So he hit the classifieds hard-looking for anything. To our surprise-he got a call back and interview right away! The pay is not great but after 3 months-he gets 100% fully paid benefits and it is a steady check. It will definitely help us out. It is also overnights so we wont need to worry about the kids during the day. The only issue that may arise if he does get the job is-the car situation. He would be getting off at 8 am and we all need to be gone by then. I will not stress about that though-let’s see if he gets the job first! We are just happy that he got a call back! Nobody has called back lately. So there is hope that he will get a job and soon.
He says the interview went great and he got along with the guy who did the interview. He was told they are making a decision by the beginning of next week-I have my fingers crossed! It would help us sooo much if he got this job.
On another note-we got a letter from the attorney today. Our paperwork is all done and we need to go in and sign our completed Bankruptcy Petition and go over the paperwork one last time. We have an appointment for next Thursday. It seems this Bankruptcy is moving right along. We are still getting a few calls but not like before. I am wondering if the creditors are being notified now. I am going to ask Thursday because I definitely have been getting less and less calls. That is always a good thing.
